To ensure a seamless application process and to avail the advantages of various categories/reservations, fee concessions, etc., it is highly recommended that eligible candidates collect and upload relevant certificates alongside their online application forms.
The collection of these certificates ahead of time is crucial, as they are the main proof of your eligibility for these benefits. Here's your guide on which certificates to collect and how to do so:
Certificate Collection for the Centralised Allotment Process
The LBS Centre for Science and Technology conducts the centralised allotment process for admission to professional degree courses. This streamlined system enables you to apply for different courses and colleges based on your eligibility and preferences. As a part of this process, it's vital to have the necessary certificates from relevant revenue authorities in hand. These include:
Note: All certificates required such as community, nativity, etc. will also comply to GO(P)No1/2021/ PIE&MD dated 7.10.2021 with all the provisions thereof.
1. Non-Creamy Layer Certificate for State Education Purpose from the Village officer for claiming communal reservation (SEBC/OEC candidates). Certificates issued for Employment purpose, Central Education purpose, etc., will not be considered.
2. Caste Certificate from the Thahsildar for SC/ST candidates.
3. Community Certificate from the Village Officer for OEC candidates not included in Non-Creamy Layer.
4. Non-Creamy Layer Certificates/Caste Certificate & Income Certificate from the Village Officer for claiming fee concession for candidates included in the communities eligible for educational concession as per the G.O.(MS)No.10/2014/BCDD, dtd. 23.05.2014 (refer prospectus for the list of communities)
5. Inter caste marriage certificates from the Thahsildar son/daughters of Inter caste married persons of whom either parent belongs to SC/ST.
6. Candidates seeking admission to the courses will be categorised as ‘Keralite’ & Non- Keralite (Please refer prospectus for more information). School Certificates/birth certificates/Passport showing the place of birth in Kerala will be considered as proof of nativity for Keralites. If the place of birth of the candidate is not mentioned in the School Certificate/Birth certificates, any certificate mentioned in clause 5(a) need to be obtained.
7. Certificate from the Village Officer for Economically Weaker sections in General Category to avail EWS reservation.
8. Candidates in general category claiming minority seats (Christian/Muslim) in self financing colleges with minority status, should obtain community certificate from village officer. Those candidates uploaded Non Creamy Layer certificate(Christian/Muslim) it will be considered for Minority seats claim also.
9. Candidates applying for NRI seats should upload NRI Sponsor Certificate at the time of online application submission.
To avail fee concession to the children of fisherman a certificate from Fisheries Officer concerned of Kerala Fishermen Welfare Fund Board need to be obtained.
Certificate of disability obtained from the District Medical Board in the case of ‘Persons with Disabilities’ [PD] (Generally, candidates who have a minimum of 40% disability alone will be eligible to apply for this quota).
Candidates who claim sports quota reservation should apply online and send a printout of the application along with copies of relevant certificates to the Secretary, Kerala State Sports Council, Thiruvananthapuram-695001, on or before the last date of submission of application.
Proforma of the certificates are given in the prospectus. The candidates who apply for certificate through e-district project from Akshaya/Common Service Centres need not use the proforma given in the prospectus. Certificates in the e-district format can be used.
