The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Telangana, is pleased to announce the GNM Nursing Notification Telangana for the academic session 2025-26. This notification invites applications from eligible candidates for admission into the GNM Nursing Course at various Government and Private GNM Nursing Schools and GNM Nursing Colleges across the Telangana state.
GNM Nursing Notification Release Date: September 25, 2025
Start of Online GNM Nursing application: September 26, 2025
Last Date for GNM Nursing application Submission: October 17, 2025
Extended last date for GNM Nursing Application: November 10, 2025
Merit List Publication & Counseling: To be announced on the School Notice Boards.
The GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery) is a 3.5-year (including internship) diploma program designed to equip students with the essential skills and knowledge for competent nursing practice and midwifery. Graduates of this GNM Nursing Course will be prepared for roles in hospitals, clinics, community health centers, and other healthcare settings.
Educational Qualification: Must have passed 10+2 or its equivalent examination with any stream (Science, Arts, or Commerce) from a recognized board.
Age Limit:
Minimum Age: 17 years as of December 31, 2025.
Maximum Age: 35 years as of December 31, 2025 (Age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST candidates as per Government norms).
Domicile: Candidates must be residents of Telangana State and satisfy the local/non-local status requirements.
Admissions to the GNM program will be based on the merit secured in the qualifying examination (10+2 marks). The DME, Telangana, will release a provisional merit list. Shortlisted candidates will be called for counseling rounds for the final allotment of seats in participating GNM Nursing Colleges.
The GNM Nursing application process will be conducted entirely online. Candidates must:

Complete the online registration and fill out the application form.
Upload the required documents and photographs.
Pay the prescribed application fee.
Candidates are advised to regularly check the official DME Telangana website for the latest updates, merit lists, and counseling schedules. Information will also be displayed on the notice boards of respective GNM Nursing Schools.
